I’m Beth, a family, newborn and maternity photographer covering Eastleigh and the surrounding Hampshire area. I specialise in natural, child-led photography that captures genuine moments, real connections and all the little personalities that make your family yours.

Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, documenting your pregnancy or simply want to capture your family as they are right now, my sessions are relaxed, informal and designed to feel more like quality family time than a traditional photoshoot.

No forcing children to smile at the camera and no awkward posing — just the real stuff: cuddles, giggles, movement, windblown hair and all the wonderful chaos that comes with family life.

Rather than asking everyone to stand still and smile at the camera, I’ll encourage you to move, play, explore and enjoy some time together. There will be plenty of gentle direction from me when you need it, but I’ll also leave space for the spontaneous moments that often make the most meaningful photographs.

My family photography sessions in Eastleigh can take place outdoors or in the comfort of your own home. Outdoors, we can make the most of the beautiful Hampshire countryside, choosing a location where children have plenty of space to explore, run around and be themselves.

The result is a gallery filled with a mixture of beautiful family portraits and all those little in-between moments — the cuddles, laughter, expressions and connections you’ll want to remember.

Newborn Photography in Eastleigh

My newborn photography sessions take place in your own home, allowing those first few weeks with your baby to be documented somewhere that already means so much to your family.

There’s no need to pack everything up and take your newborn to a studio. I come to you and work with the natural light and spaces within your home to create relaxed, timeless photographs of your new baby and family.

My approach to newborn photography is natural and baby-led. There’s no expectation for your baby to sleep throughout the session and no complicated posing. We’ll take our time, stopping whenever your baby needs feeding, changing or comforting.

Older brothers and sisters are very much welcome too. In fact, some of my favourite newborn photographs are the beautifully imperfect moments of a whole family adjusting to life with its newest little member.

Maternity Photography in Eastleigh

Pregnancy is such a short chapter in your family's story, and a maternity photoshoot gives you the chance to slow down and document it before everything changes again.

My maternity photography sessions in Eastleigh are relaxed, natural and focused on connection rather than posing.

Your session can be just you and your bump, you and your partner, or you can get the whole family involved. If this isn't your first baby, including your older children is a lovely way to document your family just before their new brother or sister arrives.

Maternity photoshoots can take place at home or outdoors in the Hampshire countryside. I usually recommend having your session at around **30–36 weeks**, when your bump is beautifully defined but you're hopefully still comfortable enough to enjoy the experience.

Where Can We Have Our Photoshoot in Eastleigh?

One of the lovely things about lifestyle photography is that we don't need a studio or elaborate setup to create beautiful photographs.

For newborn sessions, I usually photograph you at home, using window light and simple areas such as your bedroom, living room or baby's nursery. Your house absolutely doesn't need to look like something from an interiors magazine — I'll find the best light and backgrounds when I arrive.

For family and maternity sessions, we can head outdoors and make the most of Eastleigh and the surrounding Hampshire countryside. Depending on the season, we can look for woodland, open fields, long grasses or other natural locations that complement the warm, relaxed style of my photography.

I'll help you choose a location that suits your family, the age of your children and the time of year.

Relaxed, Child-Led Photography

If you're worried that your children won't sit still or smile on demand, please don't be.

They don't need to.

My sessions are deliberately child-led, which means children have time to settle in, explore and show me their personalities. We might go for a walk, look for interesting things, run through long grass, play games, have cuddles or stop for a snack.

I'll gently guide you throughout so you never need to worry about what you're supposed to be doing.

You don't need perfectly behaved children or a family who knows how to pose. You just need to turn up as yourselves.

We'll choose a location together based on the season, light and what will work best for your family. I love natural locations such as woodland, fields and open countryside where children have plenty of space to move and explore.

What happens if my children don't cooperate?

That's completely normal! My sessions aren't built around children sitting still and smiling. They're child-led, with lots of movement, games and interaction, so there's no pressure on your children to perform for the camera. I am a mum of two small boys, I am used to chaos!

What should we wear for our family photoshoot?

I recommend choosing clothes that feel comfortable and like you, while coordinating rather than matching exactly. Neutral and earthy colours, subtle patterns and natural textures photograph particularly beautifully. I'll also help you with what to wear before your session.

When should I book a newborn photoshoot?

It's a good idea to get in touch during pregnancy so I can reserve space around your due date. Babies rarely arrive exactly when expected, so we can confirm the final date once your little one is here.

When should I have maternity photographs taken?

Around 30–36 weeks works beautifully for most maternity sessions. Your bump will be clearly defined while hopefully leaving you comfortable enough to enjoy your photoshoot.

Can partners, siblings and dogs be included?

Absolutely. These sessions are about your family, so partners, children and four-legged family members are all welcome. We can capture the whole family together as well as smaller combinations and individual portraits.
