Sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home or outdoors, creating beautiful, timeless photographs of this incredibly special chapter in your family's story.

Hi, I'm Beth
After years in the corporate world, I found myself craving something more creative and people-focused. Photography gave me exactly that—a chance to connect with families and capture the moments that matter most.
My aim is to create relaxed, natural images that reflect your family's unique personality and the genuine connections you share.
No forcing kids to smile at the camera or awkward posing, just capturing the real stuff- giggles, cuddles and chaos.
The kind of moments you’ll miss one day.
Maternity Photography FAQs
When is the best time to have a maternity photoshoot?
I usually recommend booking your maternity photoshoot for around 30–36 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, your bump is beautifully defined, but hopefully you’re still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy the session. Every pregnancy is different though, so we can always choose a time that feels right for you.
Where do maternity photoshoots take place?
My maternity photography sessions take place either in the comfort of your own home or outdoors in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. From long grasses and woodland to open fields and quiet countryside spots, we can choose a location that suits you and the time of year.
I photograph maternity sessions across Winchester, Alresford and the surrounding Hampshire areas, and I’m always happy to suggest locations.
What should I wear for my maternity photoshoot?
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself. Soft, neutral colours, natural fabrics and simple outfits photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on you and your bump.
You don’t necessarily need a traditional maternity dress either. An oversized white shirt, knitwear, a simple dress or even your favourite pre-pregnancy jeans worn open over your bump can create gorgeous, relaxed photographs.
Can my partner and children join my maternity photoshoot?
Absolutely. Your maternity session can be just you, you and your partner, or the whole family.
I particularly love including older children in maternity photoshoots. It turns the session into a lovely opportunity to capture your family *just as it is before your new baby arrives*, as well as creating some beautiful photographs of you and your bump.
Do you offer maternity photoshoots at home?
Yes. An at-home maternity photoshoot is perfect if you’d like something relaxed, intimate and personal. We can use areas such as your bedroom, living room or your baby's nursery and make the most of the natural light in your home.
You don't need a perfectly styled house. I’ll look for the best light and simple backgrounds so that the photographs remain focused on you and your family.
What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
You definitely don't need to know how to pose. My maternity photography is relaxed, natural and gently directed, so I'll guide you throughout the session without putting you into stiff or uncomfortable poses.
We'll keep things moving, chatting and interacting so that the photographs feel natural and, most importantly, like you.
What happens if it rains on the day of an outdoor maternity photoshoot?
Hampshire weather isn't always predictable! If the forecast is looking particularly wet, we'll chat beforehand and decide whether to change the location, move the session or embrace a little bit of British weather.
Cloudy days can actually give us beautiful soft light, so we certainly don't need sunshine to create gorgeous maternity photographs.
When should I book my maternity photographer?
I'd recommend getting in touch after your 20-week scan if possible, particularly if you'd like a weekend session or you're due during a busy time of year.
Booking early means we can plan your maternity photoshoot for the ideal stage of your pregnancy and choose a Hampshire location that works beautifully for the season. If you're further along already, though, it's always worth getting in touch as I may still have availability.
Which areas do you cover for maternity photography?
I'm based in Alresford, Hampshire, and photograph maternity sessions throughout Winchester and the surrounding Hampshire countryside.
If you're a little further afield, please still get in touch.
I'm always happy to travel for the right location and regularly photograph families across Hampshire and beyond.
